Super Information Hijinks: Reality Check!

Rikki and Tavisha first self-published Super Information Hijinks: Reality Check! as a black and white "floppy" comic book series in 1995. Color publishing of the series began in 1996. 12 issues and then a trade paperback collecting the first 6 issues were published by 1999. The series was republished in two seperate black and white volumes in 2003.

The story, written 1995 to 1999, takes place in the faaar fuuuture of 2012 and is about a computer enthusiast named Collin Meeks whose cat, Catreece sleeps under a virtual reality helmet and believes she is human online. Havoc follows.

Aesthetically, Reality Check! was a very experimental series for Rikki and Tavisha, with graphics starting off as very illustrated and becoming more and more digitally abstract and surreal as time went on and Rikki lost his mind.

As Catreece would say, "Just say nya!" (We don't know why she says it. Cats are insane.)

(P.S. The song on this page is called Road Trip (with Catreece) and it is written by our friend, Raoul de la  Cruz, performed by Fireflies, with vocals by Christy McDonald. It was recorded in 1996.
